Got  Testimonial?

#1    Media Literacy is an expanded information and communication skill that is responsive to the changing nature of information in our society. It addresses the skills students need to be taught in school, the skills citizens must have as we consume information in our homes and living rooms, and the abilities workers must have as we meet the challenges of a global economy. On this site, we have created lessons to begin the process of teaching and learning Media literacy skills.

#2 There are differrent Persuasive Techniques such as Got Milk ads.  They are persuading you by the appeal of celebrities drinking the product

#3 Testimonial is a type of advertising which uses familiar characters to attract people who are interested in the characters.  The Got Milk? company usually attracts teens in a way that milk can be good for them, so they use familiar characters to the teens.

The Company Got Milk? uses common celebrities and teen actors that are well known and atract teens or mainly preteens.  They attract the teens because they use common teen celebrities that the teens know and like, and the celebrities have a humor appeal with the milk mustaches.

In the ads above you will see two actors from the well known television series Heroes, actors Hayden Penettierre and Masi-Oka.

Another attraction that Got Milk? uses besides the popular celebrities, is the milk Mustaches.  They symbloize when you drink milk and sometimes get a white "mushtache" of milk on your upper lip.  So the make-up artists make some kind of mixture for a fake milk mustache that gives a funny looking atraction for the readers. This type of advertising is called symbols, which is attracting people by a known sign or figure that everyone remembers for whatever is being advertised.
