Repetition

Page history last edited by sam and tristan 1 yr ago

Repetition: Persuading by repeating the same image, word, symbols, or phrases.  Examples: "diamonds are forever"; "weapons of mass destruction".

In this image, Campbell's is trying to get you to remember and recognize the labels and the different kinds of soups.  They put the soups on a grocery shelf to remind you that you can get Campbell's at a local supermarket.

They repeat a girl doing 10 different actions getting you to think you can do anything at anytime throughout the day without feeling uncomfortable.

In this ad, Juicy Couture is trying to get you to remember their symbol and name by repeating it all over the page in foods, jewelry, etc. The supersized perfume bottle immediately draws your attention so that you will recognize the brand and the packaging at any store.
